The Academy is where physician psychoanalysts and psychodynamic psychiatrists: discover a forum for exchange of ideas; find a voice within the APA to advocate for psychodynamic understanding in the evaluation and treatment of patients; and take a leadership role in promoting the importance of psychodynamic training in residency and medical education.
